Nigeria’s Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, joined African leaders and global investors in Dubai for the UAE–Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025, where His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to deepening economic partnerships across the continent.
In meetings with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri and UN Tourism Secretary-General Elect Shaika Nasser Al Nowais, discussions focused on expanding cooperation in tourism, creative industries and cultural exchange.
Musawa highlighted Nigeria’s drive to position arts, culture and tourism as engines of inclusive economic growth, drawing inspiration from the UAE’s model of diversification and innovation. “Tourism is not just an economic opportunity—it is a catalyst for sustainable development and global connection,” she said.
